    L'oxybutynine est un antispasmodique, agent anticholinergique indiqué pour le traitement de la vessie hyperactive avec symptômes de l'incontinence par impériosité urinaire, l'urgence et la fréquence. Oxybutynine détend lisse de la vessie musculaire. L'oxybutynine ne présente que d'un cinquième de l'activité anticholinergique de l'atropine sur le muscle détrusor de lapin, mais quatre à dix fois l'activité antispasmodique. Activité antimuscarinique tient essentiellement dans le R-isomère.

    PATIENT INFORMATION
    Patient should be informed that oxybutynin may produce drowsiness or blurred vision. Alcohal may enhance the drowsiness caused by anticholinergic agents. Fever and heat stroke can occur while anticholinergics are administered in the presence of high environmental temparature. Medication should be taken with the aid of liquids at approximately the same time each day. Patients should not chew, divide, or crush tablets.
